Description

Interested in offering apprenticeships at your organisation but not sure how to go about it?

The RICS Brathay Apprentice Challenge team are organising an employer breakfast meeting which will advise employers on how they can grow their own talent through the new Level 3 and Level 6 apprentices leading to RICS qualification – all in the backdrop of one of the biggest and most talked about regeneration projects, Battersea Power Station.

  • Welcome and introduction

  • Apprentice view – current apprentices talk about their journey and experience

  • Funding debate – how funding works and the apprenticeship levy

  • Employers panel discussion– industry organisations who currently employ apprentices

  • Q&A and networking session

The event includes representation from leading organisations within the sector including Gardiner & Theobald, Mott MacDonald, Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE and Arcadis.

Apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly important pathway into surveying and to RICS membership and benefit from significant Government funding. Government will pay 66% (or more for smaller employers and younger apprentices) towards the cost of an RICS accredited degree and the APC or a Level 3 Diploma and RICS Associate assessment. The introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in April 2017 will mean that larger employers will wish to ensure they benefit from their levy contributions. This event will discuss these and many more issues of interest to all employers and ensure that everyone is able to benefit from these new opportunities.
